Last Call for Entries: January 22

The online portal for entering the 43rd annual National Magazine Awards is closing at midnight ET on January 22, 2020! Please review the categories, rules and FAQs for program updates.

Freelancer Support Fund

Our Freelancer Support Fund allows for independent writers and creators to buy one entry and get one free. Note that the fund applies to two entries for Writing and Visual Awards only. 

Small Magazine Rebate

We’re offering the second entry free to magazines whose annual revenue is $200,000 or less. The rebate operates on a “first come, first serve” basis, so apply early to ensure your magazine gets its free entry!

How to Submit

  1. Review the Categories and Rules
  2. Register online at submissions.magazine-awards.com
  3. Enter the details of each submission
  4. Upload a PDF of each submission and a JPG of the front page
  5. Pay the required entry fees
  6. Courier hard copies (if required)

January 15th – Early bird deadline.
January 22nd at midnight ET – Final online submissions deadline.
January 24th at 5:00 PM ET – Deadline for receiving hard copy submissions.

For the prestigious Foundation Award for Outstanding Achievement, we welcome submissions until March 2, 2020. You may submit via the submissions portal from December 2, 2019 to January 22, 2020, or email the nomination’s package documents to staff to staff@magazine-awards.com.
