The National Media Awards Foundation (NMAF) is delighted to announce the nominees for the 49th annual National Magazine Awards. Our diverse roster of volunteer judges dedicated countless hours to evaluating entries from hundreds of magazines across the country. From their careful consideration of almost 800 entries, we are pleased to present this list of nearly 170 impressive finalists.
Awards Gala 
Gold and silver winners of the 49th Annual National Magazine Awards will be celebrated on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Arcadian Court, Toronto. Doors 6:00 PM. Show 7:00 PM. After-party to follow.

The National Media Awards Foundation is proud to launch J-Launchpad, a career hub for the next generation of Canadian media professionals.
J-Launchpad brings together internships that provide hands-on experience, mentorship opportunities (details coming in 2026), and job listings curated from across the industry and updated regularly. It also includes the Editorial Skills Lab, offering practical training to help emerging professionals strengthen their editing and storytelling skills.
