As the founder, publisher and editor of Watershed magazine, Jane has spent over two decades shaping the cultural landscape of Northumberland County, Prince Edward County, the Bay of Quinte and beyond.
From its 24-page inaugural issue in 2001, Watershed has evolved into a celebrated publication, with Jane guiding its growth and evolution. Through more than 90 issues, Janeās dedication has propelled Watershed to new heights, exemplified by the Spring 2024 issue, a 124-page testament to the magazine’s enduring vitality.
Watershed‘s unique blend of content, spanning from agricultural insights to arts, culture and social issues, reflects Jane’s commitment to capturing the essence of the region. Her editorial vision transcends reporting, delving into the heart of community life with compassion and nuance, amplifying voices often marginalized, and shedding light on important issues such as opioid addiction, migrant farm workers and human trafficking.
