The NMAF has announced the 2019 National Magazine Awards category lineup! The revised program features 29 categories, including two brand new categories, Publisher Grand Prix and Issue Grand Prix.
The four types of awards categories include: Written & Visual (which include a cash prize of $1,000 for Gold medal winners), Editorial, Grand Prix: Best magazine, and Special. Read all about the categories here.

We’re also currently accepting nominations for individuals to serve on the juries for the upcoming National Magazine Awards and Digital Publishing Awards, and join the great tradition of recognizing achievement by the creators of Canadian magazines and digital publications.
The NMAF welcomes applications from individuals who bring different industry perspectives – from recognized leaders to celebrated emerging talents. We also aim for the judging panels to reflect our country’s diverse Indigenous, cultural, and regional communities.
