Cottage Life, Spacing headline CSME Editors' Choice Awards


Tonight at the annual awards of the Canadian Society of Magazine Editors (CSME), hosted by Allan Britnell (who also hosted last night’s Kenneth R. Wilson Awards), the big winners included Spacing, Cottage Life, Today’s Parent and Precedent.
Spacing won for Best Magazine (small circ). Canada’s History was runner-up.
Cottage Life won for Best Magazine (medium circ). Office-mate Outdoor Canada was runner-up.
Today’s Parent won for Best Magazine (large circ). Canadian Living was runner-up.
Precedent won for Best Trade Magazine. Today’s Trucking was runner-up.
Spacing won for Best Website Editorial. Canadian Living was runner-up.
Best Health won for Best Tablet Edition. Reader’s Digest was runner-up.
Cottage Life and Spacing shared the award for Best Front of Book.
The Jim Cormier Award for Best Display Writing: Cottage Life.
Best Art Integration went to Spacing.
And the Editor of the Year: Penny Caldwell of Cottage Life.
Canadian Magazines blogger and former winner of the NMAF’s Outstanding Achievement Award D.B. Scott was the keynote speaker of the event, held as part of MagNet 2014 at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown.
