Last night the Maisonneuve 10th anniversary tour came to Toronto, where fans and well wishers feted the Montreal-based political and cultural affairs quarterly at the Ossington down the hip Queen West district. In less than a decade the smart and always creatively designed “Maisy” has been nominated for a robust 72 National Magazine Awards, winning 11 Golds and 5 Silvers for its writing, illustration, photography and art direction. In 2004 it was named Magazine of the Year (then awarded under the moniker of the President’s Medal). Two other times it’s won Honourable Mention for that most prestigious of awards.
