How does seating work?

Tickets purchased for the Dinner & Show in the Arcadian Court (main floor) are assigned by table.

Table seating is arranged on a first-come, first-served basis. Most tables seat 10 guests, and where possible the NMAF will ensure that tickets purchased together are seated together, and that multiple tables purchased together are adjacent to each other.

Can I request to sit at a table with friends / colleagues?

Yes - unless you're taking advantage of the Nominated Freelancer discount then see HERE. When you purchase your tickets online, you may indicate in the special instructions with whom or with which magazine you would like to be seated. The NMAF will do its best to accommodate all seating requests but cannot guarantee specific seats.

Are there discounts for purchasing tables?

No, there are no discounts for purchasing tables. Tickets purchased by May 18 will be priced at the Early Bird discount.

I was a judge. How do I get my complimentary ticket?

Judges may request their complimentary ticket simply by emailing us at to confirm their attendance.

As a judge you may request one complimentary ticket, and that ticket is non-transferable. Judges tickets are not mailed but held for pickup at a special judges ticket table at the gala.

Where are judges seated and can I sit with friends / colleagues?

If you were a judge and you plan to attend with a ticket-purchasing guest, or would like to be seated with a particular magazine, please instruct the person purchasing tickets to indicate in the special instructions, “Please seat me with judge [YOUR NAME].” The NMAF will do its best to accommodate all seating requests but cannot guarantee specific seats.

Judges without specific seating requests may be seated at tables with nominees and/or with fellow judges.
